Welcome This is, as you already know, a roleplaying game about Highlander-style Immortals in a world that bears a close resemblance to ours, with just few exeptions. And one of those is of course that in the game world there are men and women who live untouched by time. Even death avoids them until their heads are removed from their bodies, releasing the powerful life force, the Quickning, stored in them. The Quickening is common to all living things, but sometimes a human is born with a potential to have a much greater and renewing supply of it, and thus gain immortality. Even the Immortals themselves don't know their origins or purpose, should they even have one. Most of them keep themselves busy fighting each other and subsequently taking each other's Quickening, until there's only one Immortal left. The legend tell that a Prize is bestowed to the winner, but nobody knows what the Prize is. Some think it's the power to rule the wrold, others think it's mortality. To read more about Immortals, go to http://www.highlander.org/roleplaying/. There you will find Hank Driskill's and John Gavigan's Highlander the Gathering game. It's a well-written Highlander / World of Darkness crossover that I'll be using as a base for this game. My Immortal the Gathering game doesn't take place in World of Darkness setting, but I will be using White Wolf's Storytelling system, because I'm most comfortable with it (as are you I'd wager). I found the ideas and rules presented in this net supplement to my liking. Go and read for yourself, just ignore all the WoD stuff! :) Oh yeah, in case somebody didn't know it already, the game is played by e-mail. Distance is no excuse to old friends not playing and having fun together. I hope you will all enjoy contributing to this game that belongs to as much to you as it belongs to me (or to those who actually own the copyrights...), since we're all creating it together. All I wish is to do some good roleplaying with my friends and have great fun in the process. Notes about the Game Notes about this Site It's shoddy work, and I apologise for that. It's meant to be simple in layout, easy to navigate and update. I would've wished it to be more pleasing to the eye, but you can't get everything. It looks best in Opera 5 and quite horrible in IE. What can I say, I'm pro Opera... :) And I can't get it look right in both browsers at the moment. I'm working on that though. Also, the best resolution for viewing this site is 800 x 600. Sorry about that too, guys (I know you have 1024 x 768 or something). So people with high resolution and Internet Explorer will get a really sucky sight. Like I said, I'm trying to fix that. But more important stuff comes first, the content.
